Here is a quick guide on how you can enable keyboard shortcuts in Gmail.
Unfortunately, Gmail does not have keyboard shortcuts enabled by default. Luckily, it takes less than a minute to set up.
Learning the shortcuts is by far the most timesaving thing you can do with Gmail, so I strongly recommend enabling them and diving straight into it.
Step 1 – Go to settings.
Click the cog-wheel icon to open the settings panel.
Step 2 – Click See all settings.
This opens a page with all the settings you can adjust in Gmail.
Step 3 – Enable keyboard shortcuts
On the General tab, scroll down to keyboard shortcuts.
Tick the radio button “Keyboard shortcuts on”
Step 4 – Remember to save
On the same page: scroll all the way down and click Save Changes.
Step 5 – All Done! Check that the keyboard shortcuts are enabled.
Go back to your inbox, then press shift + ? at the same time on your keyboard. Doing so will show you an overlay with all the keyboard shortcuts you can use.
